How to carry out your research
Topis of your research
It does not become the theme on a whim. Carefully examine the need for the latest research developments and society, to select a research theme. In other words, it begins by carefully understand the situation around. The following issues are extremely important
- Why it is necessary to carry out its research
- if the context of the existing research (organize references, positioning of research)
- What do you appeal as a result. What is selling in originality. What's new achievements or how useful in reality
- Do not you regret to strat with your topics?
It is a basic attitude that you want to do. But, first, review if you can organize at the point which I wrote the above, let's store the basic knowledge to examine the journals.
If possible, it is also a good way to discuss the topics in your image attending to the relevant Study Group.
Also, but it is also good to listen to those who know better (It is the basic of life rather than a research to keep always prepared to check where there is any useful information and how these are available).
Finally to bear in mind always to be able to explain the research better is extremely important.
Preapration of the research
As you comes closer to the goal of your study, the more you eagerly, that you have now, is often narrows the field of view in that you are in trouble. I think composition of thesis as the graduate studies and/or master's research is not of east task , but if assuming a research goal, you summarize your progress in the frame of research, on a piece of paper, it will be vry helpfull to carry out your research.
It is efficient and important to record research progress on a note book.
In future, it is essential proof, when the work involved in the patent or intellectual property (intellectual property rights). Because it works related to intellectual property and efficiently organaize your research, note your daily proguress honestly. By the way, intellectual property notes distributed at the university is not a notebook. Please use carefully.
Composing your paper
There is not to be permitted to write freely at all when writing a paper . There is a fundamental structure which you should always keep as technical papers. Because it is a paper, it is to organize a point at issue, to use a basis and to tell its idea widely. Therefore, lyrical expression is unsuitable for the paper and the reference paper, the idea of the research, the objective material and their explanation which is based on the basis are indispensable to increase value and credibility as the technical paper. Inshort the technical paper maust be of "The technical paper summarizes your research results to make their logic clear and reasonable" and "You must explain the results to others and make them convinced."．
Structure of the paper may be of Introduction, Methods,(Results and Discussion. The "Introduction" includes the motivation and the Confrontation. It is not a paper, if you summarize your makeshift topics in your spot story.

In your technical paer your are going to explain your idea nad views. It is important here to say wat your "originality" in your research. It may be undertandable that "originality" is your own creativity and your own ingenuity. However you shoul be carefull that originatity of seff-satisfaction is just meaningless work. So the important points here are description of "positioning of the existing researches" and "relation with them". There is no paper is clear that not out of the realm of "sleep talking". "Survey of previous studies " in the fair manneris very important part of the paper. Thiese must be indicated clearly as reference papers. There are many ways to summarize the lsit of the references. 6.7 参考文献
a) 参考にした文献は引用順に番号をつけて本文末にまとめて記載し，本文中にはその番号を右肩上に示して文末の文献と対応させること．
b) 参考文献の書き方は，著者名，論文名，雑誌名（書名），巻号，ページ，発行年月日の順に記入のこと．発行の月日は省略して構わない．英文の雑誌の場合は，姓，イニシャルとする．著者数が多くとも，参考文献リストには全ての著者名を記載すること．ただし，本文中で引用する場合には， 3名以上の場合に限り，第一著者のみを書き，あとを“ほか”もしくは“et al”として省略してかまわない．
単行本の場合は，著者名，書名，ページ，発行所，発行年とします．英文の単行本の場合は書名は各単語とも頭文字は大文字とする．雑誌名，書名はイタリック体にすること．詳細については記入例を参考にすること．

Maximum usetilization of Figures, Illustrations and Tables
Purpose of Figures, Illustrations and Tables is to help your explanation of you results and never your goal. To busy slide, illustration with many results ans too much colors shoul not be used for you presentation.
Publication of your research
Your work is academic achievement for our society and you should publish it. Besides Yokohama National University is one of national universities in Japan. Since our goverment has supported you a lot of the budget, it is your obligation to publish your research and make it open for sutainable development of our society. You have a lot of chances to make your achievemnet widely known.
